July - August, 1996

• Added a new version of SchemeMode.tcl to the Scheme code archive
• All patches are rolled in into the archive Relaying TCP packets; the code compiles and runs as it is under Solaris 2.4, and other systems
• The text of the paper A Dream of an Ultimate OS itself is made available in a Postscript format
• New version (v. 2.3) of the Grayscale Image Processing class library
• The reference to a Mac distribution of the Grayscale Image Processing library is updated to point to the new (2.3) version
• Changed my e-mail address to oleg-at-pobox.com (a forwarding address, actually)

June 16-30, 1996

• Added a paper and a talk Can software development be elevated from the Microsoft style?
• Added description of a port of circling-in-clouds (aka Venus) to a BeBox.
  Also noted that circling in clouds goes at a speed of 32-37 frames/sec on a PowerMac 8500/150.
• Added a reference to my
  Very subjective notes on Data Compression Conference '96
  expounding (among other things) upon a (fractal-like) image compression with Finite Automata (WFA)
  to the list of image compression papers

• New versions of My own "standard" programming environment and "Double-click" on a file from within a running program packages,
  in the list of Macintosh Software

April - May 1996

• Added code to handle binary and TIFF files, to the Scheme code archive. The archive's index is completely redesigned.
• Added description of the Fast Fourier Transform package
• New, more portable version of c++advio (v. 2.2.3)
• A greatly expanded version of a C++ post describing an asynchronous relay of TCP packets is published as Handling multiple TCP Connections in C++ in C/C++ Users Journal, v.14, No. 5, May 1996, pp. 17-23.

January - March 1996

• Added Writing agents in sh: conversing through a pipe
• Added a new version of find-string-from-port? function, and a simple substring searching procedure, to the Scheme code archive
• ref to a "self-infecting lisp code" is moved from the main page to the Scheme Hash
• Added A Dream of an Ultimate OS
• Added an article (lazy) SVD promising a matrix in extended LinAlg.shar to to the digest of my C++ posts
• Added iterator any?, and a set of simple input parsing procedures, to the Scheme code archive
• A Mac distribution of LinAlg, c++advio, and grayimage packages now compiles and runs with CodeWarrior 8

  Compression with Iterated Function Systems, Finite Automata and Zerotrees: Grand Unification
  to the list of image compression papers

• Description of a Basic Linear Algebra classlib is updated to include major attractions of a new, 3.2, version of the library. A reference to a README file is added as well.

• Added a reference to a code that determines a full (path) file name from an AliasRecord, to the list of Macintosh Software
